Chic Chicago: Couture Treasures from the Chicago History Museum
In an attempt to show the world that Chicago had beauty, sophistication, and elegance a number of wealthy women purchased and wore high fashion throughout the city. And while names like Second City and Gangland still persist to this day, so do those chic fashion treasures.
As one the of the city's earliest cultural institutions we now house many of these iconic creations from designers such as Worth, Dior, Halston, and Versace. Take a stroll through fashion history and enjoyed these wonderfully photographed pieces; including three from Chicago's very own Charles James.
